Job Description

The Protective Services team plays a critical role in safeguarding Nationwide's assets, information, and personnel against an increasingly complex threat landscape. This internship program is strategically designed to integrate emerging talent into our protective services framework, providing a vital resource for addressing evolving security challenges. As an intern, participants will engage in high-impact assignments, contributing directly to our physical security assessments, protective measures, and strategic security planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting comprehensive physical security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential risks to corporate assets and personnel.
• Learn about physical security and its role in business continuity.
• Support the development and implementation of intelligence gathering strategies related to physical threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated risk mitigation strategies.
• Participate in incident response planning and post-incident analysis related to physical security.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Homeland Security, data analytics, security management or a related field.
• Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, crucial for threat intelligence dissemination.
• Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in corporate security, threat intelligence, or risk management.
• Capacity to operate both autonomously and collaboratively within a high-tempo operational environment.
• Consistent academic achievement (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred), indicating strong learning aptitude.

Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program. At its sole discretion, Nationwide determines whether to offer sponsorship for qualifying positions based on business need and budget. However, it is not usually available for entry level roles.
