Nocturnist, Hospital Medicine

Middlesex Health Hospital Medicine is seeking a Nocturnist to join our dedicated and experienced team.

Position Details

• This position offers 10-12 shifts per month, 36 hours per week.
• Shift times are 4pm-4am and 7pm-7am.
• Admit and consult with specialists, respond to RRTs and codes, and cross-cover 60-75 patients on some nights.
• Handle an average of 8-10 nightly admissions, often in collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and co-manage surgical patients.
• Closed ICU.
• No procedures required.
• Night staffing is staggered and includes three physicians and two Advanced Practice Providers.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed in Connecticut.
• DEA and CDS licenses.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (within 5 years).
• Previous experience as an attending hospitalist is preferred but not required.
