Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Summary

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | No nights, weekends, or holidays!

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant functions under the clinical supervision of licensed physicians, providing diagnostic and therapeutic health care to patients in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living environments.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Key Responsibilities

• Provides psychiatric care to various and/or specific patient levels- adults/geriatric.
• Performs comprehensive evaluations.
• Assesses and diagnose patients suffering from mental illness disorders and/or dementia.
• Establishes and document reasonable medical diagnoses.
• Orders pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing for the medical diagnosis or presenting symptom.
• Accepts feedback and direction from the supervising physician.
• Creates and implements a medical plan of care.
• Performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within his/her level of training and expertise.
• Participates in clinical meetings.
• Prescribes medications as appropriate.
• Performs timely documentation and billing.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Requirements

• Valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Certification
• Valid DEA.
• BLS certified.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

What Could Make You Stand Out

• A confident, take-ownership attitude.
• 1 year or more experience in Geriatrics.
• 1 year or more experience in Internal Medicine.

Work Setting: Onsite daily.
