Job Description Overview We are seeking dedicated On-Premises Security Guards to protect personnel, property, and critical assets within our facilities. This position requires vigilance, professionalism, and a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious activities.
Key Responsibilities - Facility Patrol & Monitoring
- Conduct regular, scheduled patrols of interior and exterior areas to detect and deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor video surveillance, alarm systems, and other security devices to identify potential threats or breaches.
- Access Control & Visitor Management
- Verify identification, authorize entry, and direct visitors, contractors, or vendors to proper locations.
- Enforce established access policies and maintain accurate records of all entries and exits.
- Incident Response & Reporting
- Investigate disturbances, respond to alarms, and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Document all incidents in a clear and timely manner, providing comprehensive reports to management.
- Safety & Emergency Preparedness
- Assist with fire drills, evacuation procedures, and other emergency training exercises.
- Provide first aid or basic medical assistance if needed and follow established protocols for crisis management.
- Customer Service & Professionalism
- Greet employees and visitors with courtesy while maintaining authority and command presence.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements - Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Additional security or law enforcement training is a plus.
- Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and standard security practices is advantageous.
- Skills & Abilities
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Basic computer literacy for recordkeeping and incident reporting.
- Physical Requirements
- Capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
- Able to lift or move objects weighing up to [X] pounds (adjust based on your organization's needs).
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions or environments.
Work Environment & Schedule - May involve working rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
