The Senior Specialist, Social Media & Content Creation , is responsible for developing and executing strategic, high-impact content across AAMI’s social media platforms. This role combines creativity, analytics, and emerging technologies, including AI tools, to elevate AAMI’s digital presence and engagement. The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller with strong project management skills and a passion for innovation.

Essential Duties (Responsibilities)
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to implement and evolve AAMI’s social media marketing strategy.
- Develop fresh, engaging content that stands out from the competition. Craft compelling copy, design visually appealing graphics, or videos that capture attention.
- Utilize various media formats, including text, images, videos, and audio, to communicate messages.
- Leverage AI tools for enhanced content creation and social media management.
- Monitor Search Engine Optimization, customer engagement, and suggest content optimization.
- Monitor and engage with AAMI’s social media community. Respond to real-time comments, messages, and mentions to build trust and visibility.
- Tailor content and tone per platform, LinkedIn for professionals, Instagram for visuals, YouTube for educational content, etc.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager on monthly/quarterly performance updates to leadership to inform future direction and celebrate wins.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to operationalize the social media plan, ensuring timely delivery of graphics, videos, and other assets.
- In collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Manager, ensure social content aligns with organizational campaigns (certifications, training, events, etc.) to maximize marketing impact.
- Develop, maintain, and update Asana's social media editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent and strategic content cadence.
- Track deadlines and coordinate with internal teams to meet content timelines.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to coordinate and amplify key moments, milestones, and announcements on social media.
- Stay informed about social media trends and best practices to enhance AAMI’s online presence.
- Collaborate with the AAMI studio on videos, interviews, and content releases. Manage the publishing of AAMI’s YouTube videos to enhance marketing impact and timely release of video content.
- Provide administrative and customer service support related to Marketing & Communications
- Perform other duties as assigned within areas of responsibility.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a relevant area of study.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in marketing and social media
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms, analytics, content management, and trends.
- Strong visual communication skills for creating engaging content with a keen eye for detail.
- High motivation, including the capacity to navigate competing priorities, exceptional time management skills, and the ability to learn while doing.
- Experience using tools like Asana, Trello, or similar.
- Adobe Creative Suite and paid social experience required
- Experience using AI tools for content generation, social media automation, and performance analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with creating and refining marketing messaging
- Self-starter with a focus on teamwork and delivery of exceptional customer service.
- Excellent work ethics and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Flexible and able to switch priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Experience with scientific or healthcare fields
- Experience working for a nonprofit membership or trade association.
- Experience with SEM, paid social, digital marketing, and marketing analytics.
