The Scrum Master is responsible for maximizing value delivery to the customer by guiding Agile teams through Scrum best practices and fostering a collaborative environment. This role blends traditional project management responsibilities—such as scope, budget, and risk management—with hands-on Agile facilitation. The Scrum Master also supports product owners and development teams by documenting requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and participating in testing activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a servant-leader to the team and product owner in translating requirements into functional software.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Track progress and support the team in meeting sprint commitments; identify issues early and collaborate on corrective actions.
  • Manage and report on scope, schedule, resource allocation, and project financials.
  • Extract and document business requirements; author user stories and clearly define acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile processes and foster team alignment with best practices.
  • Champion product quality by clarifying expectations and coordinating work related to defect resolution, refactoring, and reducing technical debt.
  • Balance stakeholder interests, mediating between the product owner and development team when necessary.
  • Identify and remove impediments to ensure focus on high-value engineering tasks.
  • Lead conflict resolution and proactively eliminate collaboration barriers.
  • Minimize external distractions to protect team productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating retrospectives and promoting iterative enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) required.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills; comfortable facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of Agile estimation and scoping practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience as both Scrum Master and IT Project Manager in network-related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple significant projects concurrently.
  • Prior experience in network services or infrastructure project delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and Agile frameworks.

Benefits (employee contribution):

  • Health insurance
  • Health savings account
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Life insurance
  • Retirement plan

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
