Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager with direct experience in the window shade industry. This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of our custom window shading products. The ideal candidate will be technical, organized, and skilled at coordinating across departments, vendors, and customers to ensure successful product execution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Management

• Manage the creation, enhancement, and rollout of new products within the window shade and soft coverings category.
• Develop and maintain technical product specifications, documentation, and spec sheets.
• Ensure products meet quality, performance, and design standards.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with design, production, sales, marketing, and IT teams to align product strategy and execution.
• Coordinate product launches, updates, and process improvements with internal teams and external vendors.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and accurate implementation.

Technical Expertise & Training

• Serve as a subject matter expert on product capabilities, materials, motorization, and automation systems.
• Create and deliver training materials and sessions for internal teams, installers, and customers.
• Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and competitor offerings.
• Act as primary liaison with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely communication, quality standards, and product availability.
• Support vendor negotiations and maintain strong relationships to drive innovation and cost efficiency.
• Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and propose enhancements.
• Standardize processes for documentation, spec sheet updates, and product communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 35 years of product management or technical product development experience within the window coverings / window shade industry .
• Strong technical knowledge of Roman shades, drapery, roller shades, motorization systems, and related hardware.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to create and maintain detailed spec sheets, technical documents, and training materials.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating across teams and vendors.

Preferred

• Experience with ERP/CRM systems specific to manufacturing or custom fabrication.
• Familiarity with home automation platforms (Somfy, Bond Pro, Zigbee, etc.).
• Knowledge of textile selection, performance, and quality testing.
• Ability to analyze product costs, margins, and market positioning.

Salary and Benefits

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
