Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join a growing healthcare organization near Franklin, Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring patients receive timely access to prescribed treatments and services by coordinating the insurance prior authorization process.

Prior Authorization – Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit and track prior authorization requests for medications, infusion therapies, and/or procedures

  • Review patient insurance benefits and verify coverage requirements

  • Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients to resolve authorization issues

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all prior authorization activity in the EMR system

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to reduce delays in patient care

Prior Authorization – Qualifications:

  • At least a year of experience in prior authorization, medical billing, or healthcare insurance required

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
