Join our team as a Pharmacy Intern! In this role, you will be integral in providing exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of the Pharmacy. Your primary responsibility will be to foster positive guest interactions while efficiently managing pharmacy tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage with guests as they enter your department, prioritizing their satisfaction.
• Handle prescriptions, which includes counting, labeling, and reconstituting medications.
• Provide patient counseling under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Process new prescriptions from physicians and manage prescription refills, ensuring clear communication with medical offices.
• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with patient records.
• Keep accurate records for guest charges and deliveries.
• Mail out prescriptions efficiently.

Additional Duties:

• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.

Key Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy program.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Intern by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Flexible scheduling is required, including some evening and weekend work.
• Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is a plus.
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training and assessments focusing on guest service, pharmacy technology, and safety practices.
• Knowledge of pharmacy-related laws is essential.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to handle various tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
