Job Position: Order Picker - 2nd Shift Location: Early Branch, SC 29916 Pay Rate: $15.00/hr Shift: 2nd Shift Mon - Fri (3pm - 1am) We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable working overnight hours in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Job Description: As a 2nd Shift Order Picker, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting and preparing products for shipment based on customer orders. This role involves operating an order-picking machine, which may require working at elevated heights. Candidates must be comfortable with heights and able to work safely and accurately in this environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Order Picking: Accurately pick products from shelves according to customer orders, using pick lists or RF scanners, and operate order-picking machines to access items at various heights.
- Comfort with Heights: Safely operate order-picking machinery at elevated heights, following all safety protocols. Must not have a fear of heights.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records by tracking items removed from stock and reporting any discrepancies.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects before picking and report any issues to supervisors.
- Packing: Assist with packing and staging orders for shipment as needed.
- Labeling: Ensure that all picked items are properly labeled and ready for shipment, following company guidelines.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to operational procedures, especially when working at heights.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to meet daily and weekly production goals.
Qualifications: - Experience: Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods. Must be comfortable working at elevated heights.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling orders.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
- Work Ethic: A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Working Conditions: - Overnight shifts (hours may vary depending on production needs).
- Work in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season.
- Regular lifting, bending, standing, and working at heights are required.
