Oracle Cloud Consultant Downey, CA - 3 days onsite per month 12+ months Skills Required: The Technical Architect will possess knowledge and experience in analyses and development of conceptual designs and detail designs; designing DB schema as per the requirements and in sync with the old system; implementing the daily and weekly jobs that interact with external interfaces; coordinating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements; communicate with cross-divisional personnel at both team and executive levels to understand performance measurement methodologies; and direct team members in compiling business requirements and executing project milestones. Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming or testing, Oracle database system management. Requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Skills Preferred: Oracle database system administration skills focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); Oracle database performance tuning skills for DBs running on OCI; Oracle database backup, restore, and disaster recovery design and deployment for DBs in OCI; Automation of routine manual Oracle database system management tasks; Unix Shell scripting: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external management teams, developers, network and infrastructure teams; Detailed documentation skills to document processes designed, tested, and deployed for knowledge transfer to support staff. Extensive experience in the following areas: Oracle database upgrades from versions 12c to 19c and above; building and configuring new Oracle DBs in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI); planning, deploying, managing Oracle Security Patches for DBs in OCI; configuring and deploying Oracle Grid architecture; migrating Oracle database systems from on premise Linux, Unix to OCI; Oracle replication methods such as Data Guard; developing automation scripts using Shell scripting, Python, CLI, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.; DevOps tool; designing Oracle database backups, restores, disaster recovery processes; Oracle Enterprise Manager; configuring and managing Oracle RAC; documentation on processes used and developed for knowledge transfer to support staff.
