Summer 2026 Recruitment Timeline:

November 10 – December 5: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)

Mid November – Late December: First round video interviews ****

Mid – Late January: Second round interviews

Late January – February: Selected candidates receive offers

Summer 2026 Internship Program:

• Applications Close: December 5th at 11:59pm ET. Pro Tip: Submit your application as soon as possible – applications could close earlier due to applicant volume!
• Program Dates: June 1 – August 7, 2026
• Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
• Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Miami, FL.

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises is a world-class media company leading the industry in the production and distribution of high-quality Spanish-language content to U.S. Hispanics and audiences around the world. ****

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

• **Telemundo Business & Legal Affairs (JD-level): **The Business and Legal Affairs Department supports the various business units of Telemundo Media principally in the areas of vendor engagement, development, production, licensing, and distribution. The intern position will provide support to various members of the Business and Legal Affairs Department. Under the supervision of an attorney, interns will have the opportunity to negotiate, draft, review and interpret an extensive range of agreements, including, but not limited to commercial vendor, distribution, rights acquisition, production, license, and corporate services. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with creating deal summaries and administering day-to-day contractual and operational matters, including preparation letters and memoranda to internal and external clients, presentations as required, etc.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
• Must be willing to work in Miami, FL.

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire. ****

Desired Characteristics:

• Must be a current J.D. candidate in good standing.
• 2L law student or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, writing, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Bilingual; must be able to conduct business in Spanish and English.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Flexible schedule.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, and Excel.

The hourly rate for JD student interns is $25.00.
