Salary: $16.08 - $17.36 Hourly Location : MCC - Center Campus, MI Job Type: Part-Time Job Number: 202300921 Department: Cultural Affairs & Community Engagement Opening Date: 08/04/2025 Closing Date: 8/25/2025 11:59 PM Eastern Bargaining Unit: PT Position Level: 4 Salary Range: $16.08 - $17.36 hourly or per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Maximum salary upon new hire is $16.08. Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to physically lift and carry folding tables and chairs (approx. 20 - 25 lbs.) as well as be on their feet for extended periods of time 3 hrs - 7 hrs. per shift. HOURS: To be scheduled by the department as needed, but not to exceed 25 hours per week. Must be flexible. Shifts will vary. Working days and hours are driven by the needs of the theater and include evenings and weekends. May require travel between and off campus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a demonstrated ability to manage and work effectively with people both as a supervisor and a team member. Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously; solve problems and make decisions. Must have good public relations and interpersonal skills; verbal and non-verbal communication skills; and organizational skills. Will provide direct assistance to volunteers and patrons, thus must be able to deal with diverse populations and provide extensive customer service with courtesy and attention to individuals' needs. Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Patron Services and Volunteer Supervisor. SUPERVISION GIVEN: Supervises volunteer staff. Job Function Assists Patron Services and Volunteer Supervisor in all aspects of managing events, including administrative and operational tasks related to events and front of house operations for programs held in the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and Lorenzo Cultural Center or programmed by Macomb Community College at offsite locations. Job Responsibilities Provide customer service and support to general public and clients Respond to and resolve complaints Explain and enforce policies and procedures Schedule, train and supervise volunteer staff Enforce college health, safety, fire and departmental regulations Open and close the facility as needed Assist with event needs, including setting up and strike of tables and chairs Maintain and provide proper security for equipment Report observations relating to incidents or building maintenance and repair issues to appropriate personnel Perform other duties as assigned Education High School graduate Qualifications One year of experience in customer service or related role.
