House Manager 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants The House Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a residential home serving individuals with developmental disabilities. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered supports that promote independence, safety, and community inclusion. This position focuses on weekend services. The House Manager oversees direct support staff, assists with scheduling needs, may manage household budgets, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, agency, and licensing requirements. They serve as a key liaison among residents, families, support teams, and external agencies, ensuring that each individual’s service plan is implemented with consistency and care. The House Manager also monitors the physical environment of the home and takes proactive steps to maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living space. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises Direct Service Providers (DSPs) including training, leading meetings, and frequent communication regarding consumers and site care. Provides input during team meetings regarding consumer needs and goals. Ensures that medications are ordered, staff administers medications properly, and reviews the Medical Administration Records (MAR) for accuracy. Reviews incident/accident reports, ensuring daily reporting within required time guidelines. Serves as a professional role model and demonstrates teamwork among staff, consumers, and other departments within the agency. Promotes a culture of dignity and respect for all staff and consumers. Advocates for staff needs, professional development, and retention strategies. Exercises independent judgment and discretion with respect to expending consumer funds for personal needs and furnishing food and other personal items within the parameters of their personal budget. Exercises independent judgment and discretion to fulfill consumer ISP goals; implements, coordinates, and updates the Director of Housing to establish goals and daily activities. Maintains and cleans living units, coordinating maintenance needs with the landlord. Models positive interactions and de-escalation techniques during behavioral crises. Completes a minimum of 46 billable hours and 2 administrative hours per week. Regularly supervises two or more employees, ensuring compliance with billing/data collection and apportioning work among employees. Exercises independent judgment and discretion regarding matters of significance directly related to company’s management and general business operations. Requirements Minimum High School diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience). At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role preferred. Intervention Specialist (preferred). Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Possess and maintain First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain). Pass and maintain all required Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training courses. Pass a background check and drug test. Possess and maintain a driving record with less than six (6) points. Prior I/DD experience preferred. Must be able to receive emergency communication during non-traditional work time, which may require finding staff coverage, answering consumer-focused questions, and/or covering shifts when necessary.
