Job Description

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health North Hospital, located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, are seeking an BE/BC Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Nocturnist Hospitalist to join their established hospitalist program. New graduates and Visa Candidates will be considered.

Roanoke Rapids offers an excellent work-life balance with the ability to live on Lake Gaston, a 20,000 acre lake perfect for fishing and boating.

Highlights include:

· Employment by ECU Health Physicians

· Hospital privileges at ECU Health North Hospital, a 204-bed community hospital

· Growing 9-hospital physician-led healthcare system

· Established hospitalist program inclusive of 11 physicians and 1 APP

· Full spectrum of specialty care support including general and interventional cardiology (onsite cath lab), orthopedic surgery, nephrology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease (telemedicine), neurology (telemedicine), pulmonary critical care, and psychiatry

· 7on/7off schedule: Friday - Thursday, 7pm-7am

· Average nightly admission volume for hospitalist service is between 5-10 patients

· Hospitalist program provides care to patients in an 8-bed open ICU with support from a pulmonary critical care physician and by a tele-intensivist service based out of ECU Health Medical Center

· Conveniently located halfway between Richmond, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina with an easy commute from Knightdale, Raleigh, Wilson, Rocky Mount and from Southern Virginia

With a service area that includes Halifax, Northampton, and Warren counties, the hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services including 24-hour emergency care, primary and specialty care, and diagnostic services.
