Urban Pooch Canine Life Center is currently hiring for a full-time Dog Groomer-Bather to join our team in the Chicago, Illinois area. This grooming position earns a competitive pay rate of $17/hour , plus commission and tips.

DAY-TO-DAY

As a Dog Groomer-Bather, you perform various dog bathing services and ensure that you perform with great care and in compliance with company safety and well-being standards. Working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, you carefully handle and lift each dog into a washbasin and properly clean them. You also prepare the customer self-wash tub and instruct clients on how to properly operate it. Leveraging your grooming skills, you also perform customer walk-in services such as nail trims, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, anal gland expressions, shed control treatments, and more. You schedule appointments and handle concerns as well as work with the reservation specialist as needed. You keep the bathing room clean and safe, record and track each service performed, and help our clients and pet parents any other way you can. REQUIREMENTS FOR A DOG GROOMER - BATHER

• Ability to meet the physical requirements typical of this position, especially the ability to handle or lift dogs (up to 75lbs)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work in conditions with various cleaning fumes and noise
• Ability to locally travel for community events during the Summer or Fall
