What you'll be doing: Hardware installation & configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. Rack installation, including racking of components, placing racks, cabling, powering up, and handing off servers to internal provisioning teams. Rack deinstallation, including powering off, removing cabling and rack components. Hardware Break/Fix replacement of FRUs. Troubleshooting and resolving Telco Connectivity issues. Troubleshooting & replacing Network Switch equipment. Communicating within a ticketing environment managed by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service teams. Documenting activities and updating SOPs. Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables. Executing small projects independently and collaborating with managers on larger projects. Requirements: Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware. Interest in learning new data center concepts. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and quality assurance. Availability for shift work, including weekends and holidays. 3+ years of experience in an IT environment. Inventory management experience, including ordering, receiving, and shipping server parts. Experience with on-call shifts and responding to critical events. Ability to raise issues to senior staff and management. Knowledge of IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, SCSI, Linux/Unix, GRUB). Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: 2-year or 4-year degree or 3+ years of experience.
