Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a sharp IL-licensed contract litigation attorney, JD, or litigation paralegal to join our client's growing team at a well-respected Chicago commercial real estate law firm on a full-time W2 temporary basis. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment while directly impacting a high-stakes defamation case.
What You'll Do:Organize and review mountains of documents: Be the document whisperer! Utilize Logikcull and your keen eye to tame discovery and identify critical evidence.
Research and write with precision: Support trial preparation by digging deep into legal research and crafting motions and other essential documents.
Become a case management ace: Keep everything running smoothly by managing files, collaborating with attorneys, and contributing to strategic discussions.
What You Bring:
Experience with eDiscovery platforms: Logikcull is your friend, but other similar platforms are welcome too! You have completed 1st and 2nd level reviews, redactions, privilege logs, etc. Your colleagues would say you’re an eDiscovery pro.
Rockstar legal research and writing skills: Clear, concise, and persuasive communication is required. You must have 4+ years of experience drafting motions, briefs, and conducting and analyzing legal research.
A laser focus on detail: Accuracy is your middle name when dealing with sensitive information.
JD, Attorney, or high-level paralegal background: Your knowledge of civil litigation, tort, and legal discovery can't be ignored. Experience with defamation litigation is preferred. Bonus Points for trial prep and attendance in a high-profile defamation case!

What We Offer:
Competitive hourly rate ($50 - $100 DOE) and full-time schedule.
Flexibility to work on-site and hybrid/remote (three days in, two days remote).
The projected W2 contract period is six months with a potential extension.
