Class A OTR Owner Operator at Clean Harbors summary:

A Class A OTR Owner Operator drives tractor-trailer units to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely across long distances, primarily between Lexington, SC and La Porte, TX. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, proper load securing, vehicle placarding, and maintaining accurate logs and reports. The role requires a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements, strong safety adherence, and familiarity with technology for reporting and dispatch.

Clean Harbors is looking for an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Lexington, SC. This route runs from Lexington, SC to La Porte, TX and averages 2800-3000 miles per week. This is a (Flex) and could run other destinations as needed requiring 2-3 weeks out at a time.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• BI-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
