As we continue to expand, BoatJunkie Sales and Service is seeking an experienced Boat Mechanic to join our Service Department.

Ideal Candidate will efficiently diagnose, repair and rig and prep boats, engines and their systems according to company procedures and ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

As a Marine Mechanic , you will complete service work efficiently and according to manufacturer guidelines while committing to world class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Examine and inspect boats and discuss the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with service advisor or production manager.

· Perform diagnostics and repairs of all types on marine engines and equipment.

· Safely operate customer vessel during diagnostic water testing.

· Maintain effective communication with the service and parts department.

· Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.

· Prep various boat systems as found in the boat lines we represent.

· Perform mechanical rigging including but not limited to PowerPoles, propellors, batteries, trim tabs, turbo swing, etc.

· Perform electronics rigging including but not limited to GPS, VHF, GOST, radars, autopilots, SeaKeepers, etc.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and other preventive measures to ensure the overall health and performance of the boat.

· Ensure all repairs are done according to manufacturers’ guidelines, safety procedures and company policies.

· Attend training seminars and certification classes as needed.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Previous 5+ years of experience in Marine Industry required.

· Marine Certifications are a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues accurately and find effective solutions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
