Accountant (salaried, non-exempt)

Position Summary:
Accountants have a general understanding of accounting systems and processes and should be
considered highly knowledgeable in assigned areas. The role of the Accountant is to provide department level
support for general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounting functions and ensure
department goals and objectives are achieved in alignment with policies and procedures. This role will
support the continued operation of the company's manufacturing of the best available dietary supplements in the
industry. Accountants have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Complete accounting work per US GAAP guidelines.
• General Ledger:
o Prepares and enters journal entries related to financial activity and transactions as needed.
o Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
o Support the monthly financial close process.
o Complete bank statement reconciliations.
o Maintain prepaid expense accounts including journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable:
o Reconcile and prepare daily posting of sales invoices and cash receipts.
o Complete online banking responsibilities including printing bank deposits and initiating wire
payments for approval.
o Collect customer credit applications.
o Complete new vendor setups &/or vendor changes.
o File annual 1099s.
o Review AP invoices for sales tax and file annual reports.
• Other:
o Prepare various monthly financial close reports.
o Assist and support department initiatives and process improvements.
o Support &/or participate in special projects and research as needed.
o ADM Integration - Assist and support reporting and process changes as needed.
o Perform essential job duties of Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist or Financial Analyst, if needed, in
their absence.
o Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.

Education & Experience Requirements:
• Completion of college or business school accounting classes.
• An associate degree in business preferred but not required.
• A bachelors degree in business would be a plus.
• Two years accounting experience in multiple areas of accounting preferred - general ledger, accounts
receivable, accounts payable.
• Proficiency in using accounting software.
• Experience with an ERP accounting system would be a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with qualitative and/or
quantitative productivity.
• Standard office safety regulations.
